This blog started out as a place for me to grow my understanding of the world of Speech-Language Pathology when I was a graduate student in 2010. It is currently (8/13/2017) under construction with more information to be posted soon. Stay tuned!
I have been a practicing SLP since the fall of 2010 where I completed my CFY at a Level II trauma center in southern California and continued to gain experience from the acute settings to outpatient for the next 2 years. Over the next 5 years I gained experience in the skilled nursing setting while keeping my acute skills sharp as a PRN. Eventually I was promoted to Rehab Director and learned to grow my leadership and management skills. Now I have decided to take the plunge into the travelling SLP world. I work with the adult population only and ideally, I try to stay within the state of Florida as I have a large dog (my better half) that I travel with.
